Chula Participates in the 2026 Guangxi University China–ASEAN Youth Study Camp
The Faculty of Veterinary Science, Chulalongkorn University, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Pawana Chuesiri, Lecturer in the Department of Anatomy and Assistant Dean for Public Relations and Corporate Image, together with veterinary students, participated in the 2026 Guangxi University China–ASEAN Youth Study Camp: Silk Road Pastoral · Youth Gathering at the College of Animal Science and Technology, Guangxi University in Nanning, People’s Republic of China, from July 24 to 30, 2026. The program aimed to promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences among students and faculty members from China and ASEAN countries.

The Faculty of Veterinary Science was represented by the following students:

Throughout the program, faculty members and students took part in a wide range of academic and cultural exchange activities alongside participants from China and various ASEAN countries. These included lectures by internationally recognized experts, visits to the Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Center, the university’s veterinary teaching hospital, the university museum, the Guangxi Museum of Nationalities, a smart dairy farm, and livestock industry enterprises.

As part of the program, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pawana Chuesiri was invited to deliver a special lecture entitled “From Simulation to Survival: Educational Innovation Transforming Veterinary Education.” During her presentation, she showcased research and educational innovations in veterinary education, which attracted considerable interest from faculty members, researchers, and fellow participants. In recognition of her dedication and valuable contributions as a camp advisor, she was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation by Guangxi University.
In addition, the Chulalongkorn delegation met with the administrators and faculty members of Guangxi University to discuss future academic collaboration. Topics included student and faculty exchange programs, joint research initiatives, and the development of international curricula. These discussions laid an important foundation for strengthening sustainable cooperation between the two institutions.
Participation in this program marks another significant milestone for the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Chulalongkorn University, in promoting international learning opportunities. The experience broadened students’ global perspectives, encouraged the exchange of academic knowledge and cultural understanding, and fostered networks with students and academics from around the world. These efforts align with the faculty’s vision of producing veterinary graduates with international competence and global readiness.
