Chula Co-hosts Asia Education Leader 2026 Summer Course with Tohoku University 

On August 10, 2026, the Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University, through the Educational System Administration and Leadership Program under the Department of Policy, Management, and Educational Leadership, welcomed faculty members and students from leading partner universities across Asia participating in the Asia Education Leader (AEL) 2026 Summer Course. The program is being held from August 10 to 19, 2026, at the Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University. 

The program is a collaborative initiative between Chulalongkorn University and Tohoku University, Japan, designed to create opportunities for learning and academic exchange among students and faculty members from universities across Asia. It aims to promote international academic collaboration while nurturing a new generation of educational leaders with vision and a global perspective. 

The opening ceremony was held on August 10, 2026, at Phra Ming Khwan Room 1–3, 2nd Floor, Phra Ming Khwan Thai Education Building, Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yotsawee Saifah, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University, and Prof. Dr. Hideki Kozima, Dean of the Graduate School of Education, Tohoku University, delivered welcoming remarks to faculty members, students, and participants from partner universities. They emphasized the importance of inter-university collaboration in building networks and developing educational leaders who will contribute to the future of the Asian region. 

The ceremony also featured university executives and representatives from partner institutions, who joined in welcoming the participants and reaffirmed their commitment to advancing the AEL network. 

This year’s program brings together more than 70 participants, including faculty members and students from National Chengchi University, National Taiwan Normal University, Nanjing Normal University, Korea University, and Tohoku University, as well as students from the Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University. Together, they will engage in learning and exchanging experiences with their international peers. 

Throughout the program, participants will take part in lectures and academic activities, discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions, and collaborative projects involving students from different countries, as well as field trips and cultural exchange activities. These experiences are designed to deepen participants’ understanding of diverse education systems, broaden their international perspectives, and build strong academic and professional networks across Asia. 

Co-hosting the Asia Education Leader (AEL) 2026 Summer Course represents another significant initiative reflecting the Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University’s commitment to internationalization. The program strengthens collaborative networks with leading universities across the region while contributing to the development of educational leaders equipped to drive change and shape the future of education in Asia.
