Chula Welcomes New International Students at “Love at First Meet 2026”
The Office of International Affairs and Global Network at Chulalongkorn University organized the 2026 International Student Orientation, “Inter-Chula’s Love at First Meet 2026,” on August 10, 2026, at Chulalongkorn University Auditorium. The event warmly welcomed new international students to the Chula community. Prof. Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, was joined by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Palanee Ammaranond, Vice President for International Affairs and Global Network, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lapyote Prasittisopin, Assistant to the President, in welcoming the new students.
Prof. Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, welcomed the international students and expressed his delight at seeing students from diverse cultural backgrounds become part of the Chula community. He urged them to embark on a journey of learning, academic development, and intercultural exchange.
The President emphasized the university’s commitment to fostering a global perspective and embracing diversity. The diverse talents and backgrounds of international students will play an important role in enriching and adding vibrancy to life at Chulalongkorn University. Faculty members and university staff are ready to support students throughout their studies. He encouraged students to strive for academic excellence, participate in various university activities, and build lasting friendships with people from different cultural backgrounds.
The orientation also featured educational and interactive activities, including a talk and experience-sharing session by the Chulalongkorn International Student Club (CISC), an introduction to digital services by the CU NEX Club, and video presentations covering university facilities, visa management, and mental health and well-being services.
More than 658 international students attended the orientation, while seven Chula student clubs participated by introducing their activities and welcoming new members. The event marked another memorable step in warmly welcoming international students as they begin their academic and personal journey at Chulalongkorn University and in Thailand.
