Chula Showcases Innovation Ecosystem and IP at Techsauce Global Summit 2026
Chulalongkorn University, through the Chulalongkorn University Innovation Hub (CUiHub), showcased the university’s research, innovations, intellectual property, and entrepreneurial ecosystem at the Techsauce Global Summit 2026, held from August 26–28, 2026, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
As the education partner of the Techsauce Global Summit 2026, Chulalongkorn University organized the Chula Innovation & IP Expo 2026, bringing together research, technologies, intellectual property, and innovation-driven businesses from across the university’s ecosystem. The initiative aimed to connect university innovations with industry and global markets by providing a platform for faculty members, researchers, students, innovators, startups, and Chulalongkorn spin-off companies to meet investors, business leaders, industry leaders, and innovation partners from Thailand and abroad.
The Chula Innovation & IP Expo 2026 featured research, innovations, inventions, creative works, intellectual property, and startups from the Chulalongkorn University ecosystem. The event provided researchers and entrepreneurs with opportunities to present their technologies, products, and solutions to an international audience while exploring opportunities for commercialization, technology transfer, investment, and market expansion.
Over the three-day event, Chulalongkorn University organized a variety of activities, including:
- Innovation Exhibition: Showcasing research, technologies, intellectual property, innovative products, and startups from Chulalongkorn University.
- Startup Pitching: Providing university entrepreneurs with opportunities to pitch their businesses, products, and innovations to investors and business partners.
- Networking & Business Matching: Connecting researchers and entrepreneurs with investors, businesses, industry representatives, and international partners to explore opportunities for collaboration and business development.
- Talks & Knowledge-Sharing Sessions: Providing a platform for experts, entrepreneurs, and investors to exchange perspectives and knowledge on innovation, entrepreneurship, investment, and emerging opportunities.
As part of the Chula Innovation & IP Expo 2026, Chulalongkorn University held a signing ceremony for memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with key partners, including Singapore Management University (SMU), True Digital Park (TDPK), and Techsauce, to strengthen collaboration within the innovation ecosystem at both regional and international levels. The ceremony was attended by Professor Dr. Rungsun Rerknimitr, Vice President of Chulalongkorn University, along with representatives from the university and its partner organizations.
The partnerships aim to strengthen connections among academia, industry, startups, and innovation platforms while creating opportunities for future collaboration in areas including entrepreneurship development, innovation projects, knowledge exchange, startup support, and international networking.
On this occasion, Professor Dr. Rungsun visited the exhibition booths at the Chula Innovation & IP Expo 2026, meeting with participating researchers, innovators, and entrepreneurs and learning about the research, technologies, intellectual property, innovative products, and startup businesses developed within the Chulalongkorn University ecosystem.
One of the key objectives of the Chula Innovation & IP Expo 2026 was to strengthen connections among academia, industry, and the investment sector through networking and business-matching activities. Participating researchers and entrepreneurs had opportunities to engage directly with investors and potential partners while exploring avenues for technology transfer, intellectual property licensing, collaborative research, joint ventures, investment, and international market expansion.
These efforts reflect Chulalongkorn University’s commitment to taking research and intellectual property beyond the university campus and toward real-world applications that create both economic and social value. By creating a platform where researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs, investors, and industry partners can meet and explore opportunities together, the initiative can accelerate the process of translating research into commercial applications and turn innovation into real-world impact.
The organization of the Chula Innovation & IP Expo 2026 reflects Chulalongkorn University’s role as an Entrepreneurial University that supports the development of research, technology, and innovation while promoting their utilization for both commercial and social benefit.
Furthermore, participation in the Techsauce Global Summit 2026, together with the establishment of partnerships across the innovation ecosystem, will help expand the university’s research and innovation networks internationally, create new opportunities for university-affiliated entrepreneurs, and foster collaborations that can lead to technology transfer, business development, and long-term strategic partnerships.
These initiatives also contribute to strengthening Thailand’s innovation ecosystem by connecting knowledge and technologies generated within universities with the needs of industry, investment networks, and international markets.
