Chula Students Win 4 Awards for Scientific Research Presentation at International Conference

A big round of applause to the graduate students from the Department of Food Technology, Faculty of Science, for winning four awards from the oral presentation and poster presentation competition in the Food Innovation Asia Conference 2021 (Virtual Conference) held during 17th – 18th June 2021.  

Oral Presentation Winners:

  • Miss Hoang Truc Anh To (MS student) – First Place, “Inhibitory Effect of Bacillus Subtilis P5-6 Against Staphylococcus Aureus on Different States of Medium”, supervised by Assoc. Prof. Cheunjit Prakitchaiwattana.   
  • Miss Apichayada Kaowsuwan (MS student) – First Runner-up, “Effects of Electron Beam Irradiation Doses on Physicochemical Characteristics of Tapioca Starch – Gelatin Nanogel”, supervised by Asst. Prof. Inthawoot Suppavorasatit and Prof. Pranut Potiyaraj. 

Poster Presentation Winners:

  • Mr. Natchanon Srangsomjit (MS student) – First Place supervised by Assoc. Prof. Jirarat Anuntagool and Assoc. Prof. Thiti Bovornratanaraks.  His presentation topic was “Effect of Voltage Level and Treatment Time on Properties of Tapioca Starch Subjected to Modification Using Non-thermal Dielectric Barrier Discharge Plasma”.
  • Mr. Teeratat Piyapattanamongkol (MS student) – Second Runner-up, “Pasting Properties and Viscoelastic Bbehaviors of Rice – Mung Bean Composite Flour”, supervised by Assoc. Prof. Kanitha Tananuwong and Asst. Prof. Varapha Kongpensook.
