About
The Insect Museum, located in Room 225 on the 2nd floor of Biology Building 1 at the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University, houses and displays over 5,000 specimens of insects and small arthropods.
This impressive collection includes beetles, butterflies, bees, wasps, edible insects, rare insects, and those mentioned in Thai literature, as detailed in Phraya Srisunthornwohan’s (Noi Acharayangkun) dictionary, “Sattavapithan.” The museum aims to convey knowledge about biodiversity, the lifestyles and habitats of insects, and their relationships with humans and ecosystems through engaging and easy-to-understand academic displays.
