About
The Tai-Kadai Museum, located in the Maha Vajiravudh Building at the Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University, houses and displays the clothing and jewelry of Tai-Kadai women, along with artifacts from other ethnic groups in Sekong Province, Laos.
This museum was established as a result of field research conducted by Professor Dr. Pranee Kullavanich and Professor Dr. Teeraphan Luangthongkam, who initiated the project to collect data and exhibits in commemoration of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s 60th birthday in 1992.The museum serves as a valuable learning resource on the ethnicity, language, and culture of the Tai-Kadai groups in Southeast Asia.
