All classes are taught in English. Both master and doctoral European Studies are international programs, which aim at excellence in the area of globalization.

WHY this program
at Chula

1

Southeast Asia’s first European Studies Program

The PEUS program, which began in 1997, was the first European Studies program in Southeast Asia to focus on the European integration process from different perspectives, combining the insights of different disciplines.  With our long history in this field, our students will benefit of an extensive wealth of knowledge and experience of our faculty.

2

Interdisciplinary Program Gives Deep Perspectives

By combining insights from four core disciplines, PEUS allows students to develop analytical skills focusing on the complexity of the European Union, acquiring both broad knowledge and a deeper understanding of students’ chosen field.

3

International Experience and Collaboration

PEUS is in cooperation with the National Centre for Research on Europe (NCRE), University of Canterbury and New Zealand.  Doctoral students can take research field trips which will provide them with opportunities to engage in discussions with many experienced researchers on research projects. Furthermore, they are provided with direct access to data sources and have excellent opportunities for working with researchers from renowned universities and institutes.

4

Conduct Research at a World-Class Institute

The National Centre for Research on Europe (NCRE) welcomes all doctoral students who wish to partially conduct their research abroad by providing office space, data sources, and academic support.

Career Opportunities

PEUS graduates often pursue their careers in the government sector, the private sector, international organizations, NGOs, embassies, and educational institutes.
