Overview

The Joint International Psychology Program (JIPP), offered by Chulalongkorn University in conjunction with the University of Queensland (UQ, Australia), is an innovative four-year program, over which students must earn a minimum of 125-credits of coursework. JIPP offers an avenue for students to gain a wealth of experience studying at both prestigious institutions. Students will spend their first two years (4 semesters) at Chulalongkorn University, and their next three semesters taking courses at the School of Psychology at the University of Queensland (UQ). Their final semester will be spent at Chulalongkorn University.

JIPP program’s concentration is behavioral neuroscience. Our strength in integrating Eastern and Western psychological perspectives is well-recognized.

1 Thailand’s Only Dual-Degree International Psychology Program

We are the only dual-degree international psychology program (English as mode of learning) in Thailand. As a joint degree program between Chulalongkorn University (Bangkok, Thailand) and the University of Queensland (Australia), students enroll both at Chulalongkorn University (Year 1, 2, and 4/2) and the University of Queensland, Australia (Year 3 and 4/1).

2 First-rate education in a long-established Institution

The Faculty of Psychology, Chulalongkorn University’s eighteenth faculty, was established in 1996 though undergraduate and graduate courses in various fields of psychology were offered through the Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Education since 1963. The doctoral program in Educational Psychology, in particular, was the first Ph.D. program ever offered by Chulalongkorn University. At present, the Faculty of Psychology offers both undergraduate and graduate programs and teaches general education and elective courses in psychology to students in all faculties across Chulalongkorn University.

3 Partnership with Australia’s Premier University of Queensland

The University of Queensland (UQ) is one of Australia’s premier learning and research institutions and was ranked 9 in the 2013 QS World Ranking in psychology subject. It is the oldest university in Queensland and has produced generations of graduates who have gone on to become leaders in all areas of society and industry.
