The graduate program in Social and Administrative Pharmacy (SAP), offering both M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees, places strong emphasis on interdisciplinary and comparative knowledge as well as practical applications to health and drug system. It aims to equip students with solid foundation in theory, concepts and tools, and prepare students with ability to acquire and develop new knowledge through conducting research. The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chulalongkorn University was established in 1917, and over the years, the school has expanded many specialty areas. The Graduate Program in Social and Administrative Pharmacy was established in 2001. The program offered first-rate education research and academic services. Reasons why you should participate in the program are;
Students can take full advantage of the multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary courses and programs offered by SAP to conduct integrated research using tools from different disciplines.
The faculties work closely with both government agencies and pharmaceutical industries in conducting research and providing academic services to provide recommendations, shape policies, and improve current work processes.
Examples of these government agencies include Thai Food and Drug Administration, National Vaccine Institute, Office of National Higher Education Science Research and Innovation Policy Council, and hospitals. Examples of pharmaceutical industries and professional organizations are Government Pharmaceutical Organization, Regulatory Affairs Pharmacy Association (THAILAND), Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturing Association, Thai Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association, and Thai Self Medication Industry Association.
SAP has a strong research connection with various international organization such as World Health Organization and world class Universities such as Harvard School of Public Health. With program support, students are encouraged to give research presentations at international conferences to broaden their perspective and strengthen their professional and academic skills.
SAP accept degree and non-degree students from various countries such as the Philippines, Myanmar, Vietnam, Japan, Bhutan, and Taiwan, to name a few. Such cultural diversity and international learning environment give students great opportunities to learn from their peers.
The program accepts application once a year. The period of application submission* is during February to March. Applicants need to take written examination. Normally, written examination will be provided in first week of April*. Those who pass the written examination will be called for interview.
