Overview
The Ph.D. Program in Economics is an international program that has been established for several decades. With our strong reputation, our graduates are highly qualified and sought after to fill positions in several areas at prestigious universities, the private sector, and international organizations.
In the first year, students will take coursework in advanced economic theories. Upon the completion of their qualifying examination, students continue to write their theses in the fields of their interest. Our faculty members of local and international economists who are very prolific in their research publications are experts in the field with long experience in teaching, research, and practice in economics. Currently, our faculty-to-student ratio is comparable to international standards.
The international learning environment, together with the most fully equipped facilities in the country make Chula’s Ph.D. Program in Economics the main aim for international students seeking education in the field of Economics in Thailand. Currently, over half of our annual enrollment are foreign students.
