Overview

The graduate study in Veterinary Science and Technology (VST) is a multidisciplinary, international program providing a common ground for clinical practices and the basic research in veterinary sciences and technology.  Our objective is to be the leader in postgraduate education with international standards.  Our program is recommended for all veterinary science researchers who are interested in pursuing their academic research in various aspects of the field.

WHY This Program at Chula

Excellent Teaching

Chulalongkorn University, Thailand’s first institution of higher learning was founded in 1917. The Faculty of Veterinary Science was established in the same year.  We are the most experienced school of veterinary science in the country. With almost 70 years of experience in medical teaching, we have produced almost 4,000 veterinary undergraduates to date. For that reason, our faculty members who are highly experienced veterinary specialists affiliated with various research centers and teaching hospitals can provide in-depth knowledge as well as hands-on research in the graduate program.

First-Class Research

A series of course work is delivered by seminars, practicum, and clinical adjoined field research. We have the best research facilities such as the CU diagnostic center, a small animal teaching hospital in the Bangkok Metropolitan area, and the livestock teaching hospital in the suburb of Nakhon Pathom, 50 km west of Bangkok.

Strong International Network

We also have strong cooperation with international veterinary associations and schools of veterinary medicine in Southeast Asia, Japan, European countries, and the United States of America. As of January 1, 2020, the Faculty of Veterinary Science, has become an Associate Member of the European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education (EAEVE).  Our students will benefit from our strong international network in their joint research projects and exchange of knowledge and experience.

Admission

Qualifications of Applicants

  1. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science or Biological Sciences or related fields;
  2. Minimum English proficiency score according to Chulalongkorn University’s requirement;
  3. Consideration of the Program Committee as eligible for admission.

Required Documents

  1. Fill in the online application form at Chulalongkorn’s Graduate Admission website;
  2. A printed copy of the completed application form with a one-inch photograph attached;
  3. An official transcript of academic records;
  4. A photocopy of identification card/passport;
  5. English proficiency test score: CU-TEP, TOEFL, or IELTS.
  6. Two letters of recommendation from instructors and supervisors
