Social Innovations for Society
The Social Research Institute, Chulalongkorn University, is the first social science research institute in Thailand that aims to drive knowledge through multidisciplinary research to understand the dynamics and changes of society in new contexts, while developing innovative approaches to address sustainable development.
The institute focuses on key social issues such as inequality, grassroots economic development, aging society, climate change, governance, artificial intelligence, and social problems. It connects research with government policy and concrete social initiatives, closely monitoring social situations and trends to offer diverse and timely policy options.
Furthermore, the institute serves as an open space for knowledge exchange and academic debate, while aiming to produce excellent researchers who can create knowledge while simultaneously serving society and working with communities to develop Thai society in a sustainable manner.
