Chula Economists Join 2025 University Education and Enterprise Competitiveness Forum at NCKU, Taiwan

Chulalongkorn University representatives—Vice President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kriengkrai Boonlert-U-Thai and the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Asst. Prof. Dr. Nopphol Witvorapong—were invited to share their insights at the 2025 University Education and Enterprise Competitiveness Forum, hosted by the College of Management, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) in Tainan, Taiwan, on 11 September 2025.

Dr. Kriengkrai delivered a keynote address on “University-Industry Collaboration in Thailand”, while Dr. Nopphol discussed “Enterprise Competitiveness of Thai MSMEs”. The Forum brought together distinguished speakers from across ASEAN—including Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam—and leading academics from NCKU.






Dr. Kriengkrai and Dr. Nopphol shared the stage with distinguished academics, including Prof. Chiang Kao, former President of NCKU and current Director of the Chung Kung Research Center; Prof. Wann-Yih Wu, former President of Chinese Culture University; Prof. Pei-Fang Su, Dean of the College of Management at NCKU; Prof. Der-Chiang Li, Professor Emeritus at NCKU; and Prof. I-Lin Wang of NCKU, among others.
This gathering not only highlighted pressing issues of education and enterprise competitiveness in the region but also strengthened academic collaboration between Chulalongkorn and NCKU under their existing MOU. A tangible outcome of the Forum will be a joint publication in the Asia Pacific Management Review (Scopus Q1), co-authored by scholars from both institutions.
