Chula and AUA Host the “2025 AUA Postgraduate Academic Forum”

Chulalongkorn University, through its Office of International Affairs and Global Network and the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, in collaboration with the Asian Universities Alliance (AUA), organized the “2025 AUA Postgraduate Academic Forum on AI & Bioinformatics in the Study of the Biology of Aging & Age-Related Disease” from May 14-16, 2026, at the Maha Chulalongkorn Building. The forum aimed to promote academic and research collaboration in the study of the biology of aging and age-related diseases through the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and bioinformatics technologies.

Associate Professor Dr. Tewin Tencomnao, Dean of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Chulalongkorn University, presided over the opening ceremony and welcomed participants from around the world at Room 105 of Maha Chulalongkorn Building. The opening session was followed by a keynote lecture on the application of AI to enhance healthcare, delivered by Professor Dr. Sukit Limpijumnong, President of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA).

The forum featured presentations by 18 distinguished speakers and experts, along with 10 oral research presentations and 17 poster presentations. Participants came from leading AUA member universities and institutions across Asia and other regions, including the National University of Singapore (NUS), Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), Seoul National University (SNU), Universiti Malaya (UM), Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay), Universitas Indonesia (UI), and United Arab Emirates University (UAEU). 

The event reflects Chulalongkorn University’s crucial role as a hub for international academic collaboration and serves as an important platform for exchanging knowledge in AI, bioinformatics, and aging research. The forum also helped foster cooperation in developing medical innovations and sustainable health solutions for the global society of the future.
