The Chula Zero Waste program is a joint effort between Chulalongkorn University’s Environmental Research Institute, Physical Resources Management Office, and the network of CU faculty and students to reduce the amount of waste on campus to zero. This determination confirms CU’s commitment to be a sustainable “green” university that focuses on taking actions to save the environment with the cooperation of CU community members.

The program involves the 3Rs concept of reduce, reuse, and recycle.  Moreover, it strives to eliminate the creation of waste in the first place and has implemented several strategies, such as reducing the use of plastic bags at various cooperating stores on and near the campus and by encouraging CU community members to carry cloth bags or reuse bags.

Chula’s encouragement and support for research is excellent for teachers, students, and the public.
