Chulalongkorn University hosted the 26th Special CU-af Seminar 2018 under the theme “Science & Technology for Health Application” and “Research Papers Granted by The Asahi Glass Foundation” on June 14, 2008 at the Mahachulalongkorn Building. For the event, CU’s President, Professor Dr. Bundhit Eua-Arporn, and the Chairman of The Asahi Glass Foundation, Mr.Kazuhiko Ishimura, gave the opening speech and salutations to the selected grantees for this year’s Research Grant Program.
The partnership between the two institutes were signified by the signing of an MoU, which focuses on research collaboration, and was followed by a ceremony to congratulate the research grant recipients. The receivers of this year’s grant included Dr. Niphaphun Soatthiyanon and Dr. Jia Xian Shin from The Metallurgy and Materials Science Research Institute, Assistant Professor Dr. Stephan Thierry Dubas from The Petroleum and Petrochemical College; Associate Professor Dr. Napida Hinchiranan, Associate Professor Dr. Sirilux Poompradub, Associate Professor Dr. Pakorn Varanusupakul, Assistant Professor Dr. Pornnapa Sujaridworakun from the Faculty of Science; and Dr. Peerapat Thongnuek, Associate Professor Dr. Withit Pansuk, and Assistant Professor Dr. Kreangkrai Maneeintr from the Faculty of Engineering.
The seminar concluded with presentations of research findings by grantees from the previous years, categorized into 3 main topics: Science and Technology, Health Science, and Medical Science.
