Chulalongkorn University presents “Prathana – A Portrait of Possession”, a play formed by two talented artists—novelist Uthis Haemamool and playwright/director Toshiki Okada. The play’s premiere will be in Bangkok from 22 – 26 August 2018 at Sodsai Pantoomkomol Centre for Dramatic Arts, Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University.
Performance Schedule:
Wednesday, 22 August at 7:30 PM
Thursday, 23 August at 7:30 PM
Friday, 24 August at 7:30 PM
Saturday, 25 August at 1:30 AM and 7:30 PM
Sunday, 26 August at 1:30 AM
The performances will be in Thai, with English and Japanese subtitles. A special post-performance discussion will follow the 1:30 performance on 25 August, 2018.
Tickets are on sale now and at the entrance. General admission tickets are THB 700 and will be THB 750 on the door. Student tickets are THB 400 and will be THB 450 on the door.
Originally a novel, the play is based on the reflection of the human psyche and self-discovery that is questionable in the social context. The play touches on various encounters, losses, and freedom; and paints it all into a beautiful theatrical narrative.
