U-33-Dormitory

Chulalongkorn University launches the U 33 dormitory to accommodate 2,100 students under the concept of saving, safety, sustainability, and superior quality of life.

According to Asst. Prof. Dr. Chaiyaporn Puprasert, Vice President for Student Affairs, Chulalongkorn University, Chulalongkorn University’s numerous fields of study being offered have resulted in an increasingly higher number of students, creating a shortage of on-campus dormitories. In order to meet the demand for accommodation near campus, PMCU was assigned to develop U 33 for Chulalongkorn students. Located right next to the university, U 33 offers fully furnished rooms with a design that caters to convenience and safety, equipped with large communal co-working space, pocket gardens on every 6 floors, as well as Sky Lounge and laundry and sharing kitchen every 6 floors. There is also the District Cooling System, a central air-conditioning system from an energy-saving cooling tower, to support the increasing demand for student accommodation right next to Chulalongkorn University.

  • Save on cost and commute time with accommodation near campus so that Chulalongkorn students can enjoy their learning to the fullest, as well as reduce traffic problems and pollution.
  • Safe location near Chulalongkorn University, with 24-hour security system with an Access Card system to enter the building, elevator hall, and rooms. The rooms are systematically separated between males and females. There is a smoke detector and a sprinkler system inside the room that can activate immediately in case of a fire.
  • Superior quality of life with green space in the project and CU Centenary Park right next door to breathe purified air, U 33 accommodates 2,100 residents in 972 rooms, available in both 4-bed and 2-bed units. The travel system in the area allows for easy accessibility with Smart Mobility such as CU POP BUS (EV Shuttle Bus) that is free of charge, Muvmi (Ev Tuk-Tuk Sharing), E-Scooter and Bike Sharing to enable commute from Siam Square and National Stadium BTS stations and from MRT at Samyan Mitrtown and Chamchuri Square. Parents can be reassured of their children’s educational journey.
  • Sustainable living inside the Chulalongkorn community can be achieved with an environment that promotes creativity and life-long learning. The project is expected to be open for residence in the year 2025.
