Announcement on Opening-Closing of University Gates and Traffic Management for the Commencement Ceremony (2022 Academic Year)

For the 2022 Academic year Commencement Ceremony on October 5-7, 2023, Chulalongkorn University announces the opening-closing of CU Gates and traffic management which are as follows,
- The main gates near the Chulalongkorn University Auditorium will be closed and serve as the route for the Royal motorcade.
- The vehicle gate at the Faculty of Architecture will be closed, but the pedestrian gate at the Faculty of Architecture will be open from 05.00 – 22.00 hrs.
- The gates at the Faculty of Science will be closed. Only vehicles of the university’s executives and those with a special invitation card will be allowed to enter and exit during the time of the preparation before the Royal motorcade. As for the pedestrian gates, they will be open from 03.00 – 22.00 hrs.
- The intersection at the clock tower will be closed to access. No vehicles are allowed to pass through the flagpole roundabout in front of the Chulalongkorn University Auditorium, except for vehicles with a special permit.
- The intersection at the Chulalongkorn University Museum will be closed. No vehicles are allowed to turn right toward the flagpole roundabout in front of Chulalongkorn University Auditorium, except for vehicles with special permits.
- The vehicle gates at the Faculty of Arts will be closed at all times. As for the pedestrian gates, they will remain open until 22.00 hrs. The entrance to the Car Park Building 2 is only for cars that will be parked at that building.
- The gates at the Faculty of Political Science will be open from 05.00 – 22.00 hrs. All vehicles can enter and exit as well as access the Car Park Building 3 at these gates.
- The intersection in front of Visid Prajuabmoh Building will be closed. Only vehicles with the university’s permit and a special permit will be allowed to enter and exit. Only motorcycles of Chula personnel or companies that are associated with the university will be allowed to enter.
- The intersection at Chakrabongse Square will be closed. Only vehicles with a special permit will be allowed to enter and exit. Chula Engineering personnel are advised to use the entrance near the Department of Electrical Engineering’s (next to True Coffee Shop).
- The vehicle gates at the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy will be closed, but the pedestrian gates will be open at all times.
- The pedestrian gates at Chamchuri Square will be open from 05.00 – 22.00 hrs.
- The gates at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences will be open as usual from 05.00 – 22.00 hrs., except on Saturday when they will close at 19.00 hrs.
- The gates at the Faculty of Engineering will be closed at all times with a prohibition of parking notice posted in front of the gate as a backup.
- The gates at the University Offices will be open from 05.00 – 22.00 hrs., except on Saturday when they will close at 19.00 hrs.
- The gates at the Faculty of Communication Arts will be open from 05.00 – 22.00 hrs., except on Saturday when they will close at 19.00 hrs.
- The gates at Sasin will be open from 05.00 – 24.00 hrs.
- The gates near the Chulalongkorn University Stadium will be open from 05.00 – 22.00 hrs., except on Saturday when they will close at 19.00 hrs.
- The gates at the CU Dharma Center will remain open at all times.
- The gates at Chamchuri 9 Building will be open as usual from 05.00 – 22.00 hrs.
Remarks:
- E-scooter and bike services will not be available on the premises of Chulalongkorn University Auditorium side.
- Muvmi (EV Tuk Tuk) vehicles will only pass through the front of the Kasem Udyanin Building (Faculty of Political Science) and will not enter the university on those days.
