Chulalongkorn University takes pride in congratulating its Professor and student teams for winning the prizes at the “17th International Inventions and Innovations Show (INTARG® 2024)”, held from May 21-23, 2024, in Katowice, Poland.
The winning inventions are listed below:
1. Pearl Sand: Pearlescent Sand from Mussel Shells for Sustainable Art Applications received a ‘Gold Medal’ and a ‘Special Prize’ from the Association for the Promotion of Polish Science, Technology and Innovation (SPPNTI), Poland, as well as ‘NRCT Honorable Mention Award’ from the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT).
The Pearl Sand is the work of Assistant Professor Dr. Soamshine Boonyananta from the Faculty of Education, Professor Dr. Sanong Ekgasit from the Faculty of Science, Mr. Jeerasak Jitrojanarak from Chulalongkorn University Demonstration Elementary School, Mr. Suchart Imsamran, and Miss Janthana Chaiophanon.
2. ECO-Deco: Glittering Decoration Sand from Waste Green Mussel Shells received a ‘Gold Medal’ and a ‘NRCT Special Award’ from the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT).
The ECO-Deco is the work of Mr. Jeerasak Jitrojanarak from Chulalongkorn University Demonstration Elementary School, Assistant Professor Dr. Soamshine Boonyananta from the Faculty of Education, Dr. Chutiparn Lertvachirapaiboon from the National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC), Ajarn Nampueng Thaweepornpathomkul, Mr. Robert Armstrong, Mr. Parinton Jangtawee, and Mr. Suchart Imsamran.
3. CU-Dough: Anti-bacterial dough CU nanoparticles also earned a ‘Gold Medal’ and a ‘NRCT Honorable Mention Award’ from the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT).
The CU-Dough was developed by Ajarn Nampueng Thaweepornpathomkul from Chulalongkorn University Demonstration Elementary School, Assistant Professor Dr. Soamshine Boonyananta from the Faculty of Education, Mr. Robert Armstrong, Mr. Parinton Jangtawee, and Mr. Suchart Imsamran.
4. Disease resistant booster in red tilapia using lipid-based nanoparticle loaded with Andrographolide and Curcuminoid received a ‘Silver Medal’ and a ‘Special Prize’ from Indonesian Invention and Innovation Promotion Association (INNOPA), Indonesia, as well as a ‘NRCT Honorable Mention Award’ from the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT).
The team members include Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nopadon Pirarat (D.V.M., Ph.D.) and Dr. Sirikorn Kitiyodom (D.V.M., Ph.D.) from the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Dr. Nattika Saengkrit and Mr. Jakarwan Yostawonkul from the National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC), and Master Thanakrit Kitiyodom.
