Chulalongkorn University participated in the “Global Sustainable Development Congress 2024“, by showcasing its innovative work and success stories in startup operations with the support of CU Innovation Hub and in alignment with the University’s commitment to sustainable development. The event was held from June 10-13, 2024, at Ballroom 4, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
Organized by the Office of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), in collaboration with Times Higher Education (THE), the congress convened over 3,000 university administrators, government officials, business leaders, NGO representatives, and civil society members from 90 countries.
Ms. Supamas Isarabhakdi, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), presided over the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech on “Sustainable Development” on June 11, 2024.
During the event, Prof. Dr. Wilert Puriwat, Acting President of Chulalongkorn University, participated in a panel discussion on “Uniting Higher Education, Governments, Industry, and Society for a Sustainable Future.” He also welcomed the MHESI Minister to Chulalongkorn’s exhibition booth and addressed the media about the university’s global success in THE Impact Rankings, which highlight universities that support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their significant impact on society.
