Chulalongkorn University Sets Rehearsal Requirements for Graduates on Convocation Ceremony

Chulalongkorn University Sets Rehearsal Requirements for Graduates on Convocation Ceremony

Chulalongkorn University has announced important requirements for graduates preparing to receive their degrees during the upcoming Graduation Convocation Ceremony, which will take place from October 2-4, 2024. The university has mandated that all graduates must attend two rehearsal sessions organized by their respective faculties in order to be eligible to participate in the official ceremony.

Graduates whose rehearsal schedules coincide with their group photo sessions are required to wear their graduation gowns. If the rehearsal and group photo do not occur on the same day, graduates have the option to either wear their gowns or follow the formal dress code provided by the university.

The announcement also highlights the following guidelines:

  • Graduates are not permitted to have long fingernails or wear nail polish during both the rehearsal and the actual graduation ceremony.
  • While there are no restrictions on hair color during rehearsals, graduates must comply with university regulations on the day of the ceremony by maintaining natural hair colors, such as black or dark brown.
  • Personal belongings will be allowed in the auditorium during rehearsal sessions.

Graduates are advised to check the rehearsal schedules specified by their faculties by visiting bit.ly/4cVrC2G. Those unable to attend their scheduled rehearsal must notify their faculty’s student affairs office in advance, as failure to do so will result in their ineligibility to participate in the official convocation ceremony.

This announcement follows the official guidelines set forth by Chulalongkorn University regarding the dress code and rehearsal procedures for the graduation ceremony of B.E. 2563.

Chula’s encouragement and support for research is excellent for teachers, students, and the public.
