The Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences (CRAES) was established in 1978 under the supervision of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People’s Republic of China, with the objective to develop environmental science, innovation, and technology to address environmental problems arising from economic and social development. Currently, CRAES collaborates scientifically with institutions in various countries around the world. This visit to Chulalongkorn University was to discuss the management of environmental and biodiversity challenges in Thailand, and opportunities for collaboration on environmental research. This also included the future exchange of faculty members, researchers with expertise from both organizations, and students between the two institutions.

The sense of kinship and warmth found in the Chula community is priceless and a treasure worth keeping.
