Chulalongkorn University and the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) have entered into an academic collaboration aimed at enhancing the capabilities of sports science personnel to achieve excellence in the development of Thai national athletes.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed on August 23, 2024, at Meeting Room 1, 4th Floor, Chalerm Phrakiat Building, Sports Authority of Thailand. The signing ceremony was presided over by Prof. Dr. Wilert Puriwat, Acting President of Chulalongkorn University, and Mr. Surasak Kerdjanthuek, Deputy Governor for Excellence in Sports and Sports Science at the Sports Authority of Thailand, representing Mr. Kongsak Yodmanee, Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand.
The event was witnessed by Associate Professor Dr. Chaiphat Losirirat, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Science, Chulalongkorn University, and Mr. Suwat Luangtrakun, Director of Sports Science at the Sports Authority of Thailand.
The signing of this MoU is a significant step towards developing training programs for sports scientists, organizing national and international sports science conferences, and creating new knowledge and innovations in the field of sports. This collaboration aims to elevate the expertise of sports scientists, ultimately leading to the enhanced performance of Thailand’s national athletes on the international stage.
Through the development of advanced curricula and research and innovation in sports science, this partnership will strengthen Thailand’s position in the global sports science community.
