Announcement on Opening-Closing of University Gates and Traffic Management for the Commencement Ceremony (Academic Year 2023)  

For the 2023 Academic Year Commencement Ceremony on October 2-4, 2024, Chulalongkorn University would like to announce the opening-closing of CU Gates and Traffic Management which are as follows: 

Vehicle Gates 

1. The gates at the Faculty of Political Science will be open from 05.00 – 22.00 hrs. All vehicles can enter and exit, as well as enter Parking Building 3 (next to Kasem Uthayanin Building). 
2. The gates at CU Dharma Center (Chula Soi 9 Gate) will remain open 24 hours. 
3. The main gates near the Chulalongkorn University Auditorium (Phayathai Road) will be closed. 
4. The vehicle gate at the Faculty of Architecture will be closed. 
5. The vehicle gates at the Faculty of Science will be closed. Only vehicles of the university’s executives and those with a special invitation card will be allowed to enter and exit during the time of the preparation before the Royal motorcade. 
6. The intersection at the clock tower will be closed to access. No vehicles are allowed to pass through the flagpole roundabout in front of the Chulalongkorn University Auditorium, except for vehicles with a special permit. 
7. The intersection at the Chulalongkorn University Museum will be closed. No vehicles are allowed to turn right into the flagpole roundabout in front of Chulalongkorn University Auditorium, except for vehicles with special permits. 
8. The vehicle gates at the Faculty of Arts will be closed at all times. The entrance at Car Park Building 2 is only for cars that will be parked at that building. 
9. The intersection in front of Visid Prajuabmoh Building will be closed. Only vehicles with the university’s permit and a special permit will be allowed to enter and exit. Only motorcycles of Chula personnel or companies that are associated with the university will be permitted to enter. 
10. The intersection at Chakrabongse Square will be closed. Only vehicles with a special permit will be allowed to enter and exit. Vehicles of Chula Engineering personnel are advised to use the entrance near the Department of Electrical Engineering’s (next to True Coffee Shop). 
11. The vehicle gates at the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy will be closed. 

Pedestrian Gates 

1. The gate at the Faculty of Architecture will be open from 05.00 – 22.00 hrs.
2. The gates at the Faculty of Science will be open from 03.00 – 22.00 hrs. 
3. The gates at the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy will remain open at all times. 
4. The gates at Chamchuri Square will be open from 05.00 – 22.00 hrs. 
5. The gates at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences will be open as usual from 05.00 – 22.00 hrs. 
6. The gates at the Faculty of Engineering will be closed at all times. 
7. The gates at the University Offices will be open from 05.00 – 22.00 hrs. 
8. The gates at the Faculty of Communication Arts will be open from 05.00 – 22.00 hrs.
9. The gates at Sasin will be open from 05.00 – 24.00 hrs. 
10. The gates near the Chulalongkorn University Stadium will be open from 05.00 – 22.00 hrs. 
11. The gates at the CU Dharma Center will remain open at all times.  
12. The gates at Chamchuri 9 Building will be open as usual from 05.00 – 22.00 hrs. 
13. The gates at the Faculty of Arts will be open from 05.00 – 22.00 hrs. 

Remarks: 

• E-scooter and bike services will be not available on the Chulalongkorn University Auditorium side. 
• Muvmi (EV Tuk Tuk) will only pass through the front of the Kasem Udyanin Building (Faculty of Political Science) and will not enter the university on those days.
