The Embassy of Mexico in Thailand, Office of Art and Culture, Chulalongkorn University and BJC/BIG will co-organise a black and white photography exhibition, titled “Diego & Frida: A Smile in the Middle of the Way”, at the 1st Floor of Chulalongkorn University Museum (Map: https://goo.gl/maps/PA8Kvhcoy9GKhrTFA).
The exhibition is made up of 44 real life photographs that reveal the complex life shared by Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo, two of the most famous Mexican artists of the 20th century. The pictures display a visual timeline, revealing one of the most vibrant and controversial couples in the world of art, united in an entangled romance that lasted almost 25 years, until the passing of Frida Kahlo. The photographs were captured by their friends, some noted as remarkable photographers, and showed the different stages of a lifetime together, from joy and success to pain and the death of the extraordinary Frida and Diego.
Exhibition Dates & Opening Hours:
Dates: 8 – 28 May 2019 (Free entry)
Opening Hours: Monday – Friday, 09.00 – 16.30 hrs.
