Chula’s Faculty of Medicine Partners with Matria for Sustainable Healthcare Innovation 

The Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Matria Medical Corporation Ltd. to advance research, personnel, and medical innovation through the International Comprehensive Health and Medical Promotion Center. The event was attended by Associate Professor Dr. Chanchai Sittipunt, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, and Mr. Suphachai Chearavanont, Chairman of Matria Medical Corporation Ltd. Also present were Professor Dr. Surakiart Sathirathai, Chairman of Chulalongkorn University Council, Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont, Associate Professor Dr. Sompongse Suwanwalaikorn, Associate Professor Dr. Jiruth Sriratanaban, and Mr. Jiraporn Jongsujiphan, who witnessed the signing ceremony on September 24, 2024, at Room 603, Anandamahidol Building, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University. 

The International Comprehensive Health and Medical Promotion Center project focuses on exchanging medical knowledge and personnel, sharing educational materials, and enhancing medical services. It also promotes modern healthcare and continuous education to improve the quality of life for Thai people and society at large.

Associate Professor Dr. Chanchai Sittipunt, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, stated that the university and Chulalongkorn Hospital have a core mission to elevate healthcare standards through international-level medical services provided by skilled personnel and cutting-edge medical technology. This collaboration seeks to create medical research and innovations that meet the needs of the public and society while training medical professionals capable of caring for people now and in the future. In the current era of change and health challenges, partnerships among experts in different fields are crucial for sustainable development, ensuring maximum benefits for the public and society. The collaboration between the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, and Matria Medical Corporation Ltd. is an important step in advancing research, creating medical innovations, and developing high-quality personnel and healthcare services. This will enhance the potential of Thailand’s medical field to compete on the global stage, offering modern treatments through the International Comprehensive Health and Medical Promotion Center project.

Mr. Suphachai Chearavanont stated that Matria Medical Corporation Ltd., a subsidiary of the CP Group, was established under the Dhanin-Tawee Chearavanont Foundation to promote comprehensive healthcare and improve people’s quality of life. The company focuses on developing medical innovations and supporting high-quality education and research. The collaboration aims to provide quality treatment by investing in modern, safe technology and promoting education and evidence-based research for patient care. Additionally, it seeks to enhance the capabilities of Thai medical personnel to compete globally and improve the quality of life for Thai people while reducing the burden on the public health system by assisting underprivileged patients. 

The sense of kinship and warmth found in the Chula community is priceless and a treasure worth keeping.
