Chula’s Faculty of Education Organizes the “International Day Against Violence and Bullying at School, Including Cyberbullying 2024”

The Leadership in Educational System Administration Program, Department of Educational Policy, Management, and Leadership, Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University, in collaboration with UNESCO Bangkok, invites those interested to attend the “International Day Against Violence and Bullying at School, Including Cyberbullying 2024.” The event will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 4:45 PM at the Poonsub Noppahwong Na Ayutthaya Hall, Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University.
The Distinguished Panelists are:
- Assistant Prof. Dr. Nattasuda Taephant – Dean, Faculty of Psychology, Chulalongkorn University
- Mr. Payu Nerngchamnong – Secretary, Thailand’s Subcommittee on Reviewing and Amending Laws to Protect and Prevent Violence Against Children, Women, and Family Members
- Mr. Tanawat Suwannapan – Social Studies Teacher, Rajadamri School
- Ms. Phattharadon Werachainarong – Youth Advocate, Inclusive Safe Space
The event will feature an inter-generational dialogue and an English speech competition on the topic “Protect, Educate, Empower: Learners Call for Safe and Inclusive Schools”. The panel for the dialogue will be moderated by Jenelle Babb, Regional Advisor for Education for Health and Well-being at UNESCO’s Bangkok Office.
Speech Competition Details
The English speech competition on the topic “Protect, Educate, Empower: Learners Call for Safe and Inclusive Schools” is open to participants at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Prizes
- 1st Place: 5,000 THB
- 1st Runner-up: 3,000 THB
- 2nd Runner-up: 2,000 THB
- All finalists will receive a certificate of participation.
This event is open to educators, policymakers, students, parents, and anyone interested in supporting efforts against violence and bullying in schools.
