Chula’s Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy Hosts the 8th Annual Conference of the International Place Branding Association

The Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy at Chulalongkorn University, through its Department of Marketing, hosted the prestigious 8th Annual Conference of the International Place Branding Association (IPBA 2024), an internationally recognized academic conference on country, city, and district branding. The event took place from October 30 to November 1, 2024, in rooms 801 and 702 of the Chaloem Rajakumari 60th Building (Chamchuri 10 Building). 

Chula’s Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy Hosts the 8th Annual Conference of the International Place Branding Association

The opening ceremony was attended by Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, Associate Professor Dr. Tartat Mokkhamakkul, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, as well as senior faculty and marketing department members. The conference featured a keynote address by a renowned city branding expert from the United Kingdom and a special lecture from the Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), with interesting discussions and exchanges. 

Over 100 leading scholars from 23 countries participated in this event, which was marked by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. 

Chula’s encouragement and support for research is excellent for teachers, students, and the public.
