Chula Discusses Academic Collaboration with Tsinghua University, People's Republic of China

On November 1, 2024, Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, along with the university’s executive team, held discussions on academic collaboration with Tsinghua University, People’s Republic of China. Prof. Yang Bin, Vice President for International Affairs at Tsinghua University, warmly welcomed the delegation.

The Chulalongkorn University executives participating in the discussions included Associate Professor Dr. Palanee Ammaranond, Associate Professor Dr. Manoj Lohatepanont, both Vice Presidents of Chulalongkorn University, Associate Professor Dr. Suradech Chotiudompant, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and Professor Dr. Witaya Wannasuphoprasit, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, alongside representatives from faculties and institutes offering international undergraduate and graduate programs. 

The collaboration discussions focused on various academic areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), innovation, and student and faculty exchanges. Following the discussions, the Chulalongkorn delegation visited the Institute for AI International Governance of Tsinghua University (I-AIIG), guided by Prof. Liang Zheng, Associate Dean of I-AIIG. During the visit, the Chulalongkorn executives also met with exchange students from Chulalongkorn’s Information and Communication Engineering (ICE) program under the Faculty of Engineering who are currently pursuing their studies at Tsinghua University. 

Chula is the place to discover one’s true individuality and the years I spent here were most enjoyable.
