Chula’s Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts Student Wins Runner-up in an International Classical Guitar Competition 

Chulalongkorn University congratulates Mr. Pachara Seehanern, a second-year student in the Western Music Department, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Chulalongkorn University, for winning second place in the Virtuoso Category of the Ayadaguitars Ayada Classical Guitar Festival & Hanika International Guitar Competition 2024. The competition was held from November 1-3, 2024, at the Auditorium, 5th floor, Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC). Mr. Pachara received a cash prize of 15,000 THB along with a souvenir of guitar strings from Spain. 

The Ayadaguitars Ayada Classical Guitar Festival & Hanika International Guitar Competition 2024 marked the first international classical guitar festival in Thailand. Organized by Ayadaguitars, the event aimed to create an international platform and advance the classical guitar scene in Thailand, featuring performances by world-class artists from various countries. Additionally, the event hosted the Hanika International Guitar Competition with prizes totaling over 500,000 THB, as well as masterclasses led by artists, offering Thai musicians a valuable opportunity to showcase their talents and enhance their classical guitar skills with world-renowned experts. 

Chula’s encouragement and support for research is excellent for teachers, students, and the public.
