CSII Executive Director’s Herb Guardian Earns Global Acclaim at SIIF 2024 

The Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation (CSII) proudly congratulates Professor Suchada Sukrong, Ph.D., Executive Director of CSII, on her outstanding achievements at the Seoul International Invention Fair 2024 (SIIF 2024). Held at COEX in Seoul, South Korea, the event honored her groundbreaking contributions as co-founder of Herb Guardian Co., Ltd., a startup supported by CU Enterprise.   

Gold and Silver for Herb Guardian’s Innovations 

Co-founded by Professor Suchada and Associate Professor Dr. Pasarapa Towiwat from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chulalongkorn University, Herb Guardian Co., Ltd. showcased two pioneering inventions that secured multiple prestigious awards: 

1. Rosmarinic Acid-Enriched Extract 

This eco-friendly innovation targets skin damage caused by fine particulate matter (PM 2.5).   It rejuvenates skin, boosts collagen production, and reduces inflammation.

• Gold Medal
• NRCT Special Award (National Research Council of Thailand)   
• WIIPA Special Award (World Invention Intellectual Property Associations)   

2. Mangiferin-Enriched Extract from Mango Leaf Biomass   

By converting mango leaf biomass into a potent extract, this invention helps combat skin issues triggered by gram-positive bacteria. It reclaims agricultural waste, promoting environmental sustainability and broader applications in health products.

• Honorable Mention Award (National Research Council of Thailand)
