Chulalongkorn University, in collaboration with Channel 7HD, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to develop media and education. The key goal is to enhance opportunities for students and youth to develop skills and showcase their potential through the production of creative media. The partnership also aims to promote various activities that meet the needs of society in the digital age. The signing ceremony, held on January 16, 2025, at Chula Narumit House, was presided over by Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, and Mr. Pattanapong Nuphan, Managing Director of Channel 7HD.
The collaboration focuses on encouraging young people to participate in media production processes and creative activities such as developing content in news, entertainment, music, sports, and fashion. It also emphasizes the use of technological innovations and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create learning experiences that align with modern education.
Through this partnership, students will have the opportunity to work with experts in the media industry, gain firsthand experience from the industry, and build valuable networks that will help develop essential skills. This initiative integrates resources from both the education and business sectors to benefit sustainable development.
According to Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, “Chulalongkorn University is committed to preparing students and youth for the digital world. This collaboration reflects the university’s intent to develop creative and high-quality media to drive society forward. Working with Channel 7HD, a leading media organization in Thailand, provides students with the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals in the industry. More importantly, both sides share the same vision of creating quality content for youth and society, helping students learn and gain real-world experience in producing quality media. This will drive a better and more sustainable society.”
Mr. Pattanapong Nuphan, Managing Director of Channel 7HD, added that, “We are very pleased to collaborate with Chulalongkorn University. Supporting youth has always been our focus. This collaboration is an important step in creating new opportunities for youth while developing quality media. It allows students to apply their creativity in producing various forms of media while also working together to advance the development of smart AI communication to meet the needs of society in the age of artificial intelligence, fostering sustainable growth.”
This collaboration marks a significant step in bridging the gap between educational institutions and the media industry to elevate the quality of education in Thailand through creative media and contribute to sustainable societal development.
