Empowering Thailand’s Energy Future: Advancing Towards the Energy of the Future Through the Collaboration of 9 Chula Research Institutes 

The Chulalongkorn University Energy Research Institute, in collaboration with nine other research institutes from Chulalongkorn University, recently organized the “Empowering Thailand’s Energy Future” seminar under the Visionary Strategic Integration of 9 Research Institutes. The event which aims to exchange ideas and present research related to the transition to clean energy and a low-carbon society took place on March 4, 2025, at the Social Innovation Hub Conference Room, Visid Prachuabmoh Building, Chulalongkorn University, with Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, the President of Chulalongkorn University, delivering the opening speech.

The seminar “Empowering Thailand’s Energy Future” provides an important platform for fostering collaboration on clean energy and sustainable development, reinforcing Chulalongkorn University’s role in driving society towards green energy and Net Zero Emissions.

The event featured a keynote speech by Associate Professor Wongkot Wongsapai, Deputy Director of the Office of the National Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation Policy Council (NXPO), on the topic “Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation for Achieving Thailand’s Net Zero Emission Goals.” Additionally, there was a special discussion on “Chulalongkorn University’s Mission to Drive Green Energy Research Towards Net Zero Goals,” featuring energy experts from the nine Chulalongkorn research institutes. 

Chula is the place to discover one’s true individuality and the years I spent here were most enjoyable.
