Chula Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts Presents Their Creative Work with the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra (RBSO)

The Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra (RBSO) was invited to perform in St. Petersburg and Moscow, Russian Federation, between March 30 and April 6, 2025. On this occasion, two compositions by Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya were presented: Le Mariage de Minuit – Fantaisie pour piano et orchestra and Concerto for Violin and Orchestra “NEFRERETTA.”
Additionally, the composition Siam Soundscapes, written by Prof. Dr. Narongrit Dhamabutra, National Artist of 2021 in the field of Performing Arts (Western Classical Music Composition), a professor at the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Chulalongkorn University, was another piece performed by the RBSO in Russia.

The works of Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya and the piece Siam Soundscapes were performed for the Russian public on April 2, 2025, at the St. Petersburg Philharmonia in St. Petersburg and on April 4, 2025, at the Zaryadye Concert Hall in Moscow. Dr. Yos Vaneesorn, a professor at the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Chulalongkorn University, and the lead clarinetist of RBSO, also showcased his talents at this concert. Dr. Vanich Potavanich, an alumnus of Chulalongkorn University’s Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, was the conductor.
This concert performance marked a great opportunity to promote Thai musical culture on the international stage and also to strengthen the relationship between the two countries.
