Chula Staff Athletes Participate in “Tumpang Games 2025” and Pay Homage to the Late Kings Rama V and Rama VI 

On April 29, 2025, at the reception hall of the Chulalongkorn University Auditorium, a homage ceremony was held at the portraits of His Majesty King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) and His Majesty King Vajiravudh (Rama VI). The ceremony was attended by Chulalongkorn University staff athletes who will be competing in the 41st Thailand University Staff Games, known as the “Tumpang Games 2025,” hosted by Walailak University in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. The event was held to boost the morale and offer encouragement to the athletes. Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, presided over the ceremony, and Associate Professor Dr. Pakorn Varanusupakul, Assistant to the President and Acting Director of the Chula Sports Center, delivered a report. 

On this occasion, the University President spoke to the athletes, motivating them to perform their best. Afterward, the president, university executives, athletes, and staff posed together for a group photo. 

Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, remarked that all participating athletes are representatives of the university in the Thailand University Staff Games hosted this year by Walailak University. On May 3–4, 2025, the university executives will travel to the event to support and encourage the athletes. He expressed his wishes for the athletes to compete with energy so that the divine grace of Kings Rama V and VI and all sacred forces would grant them strength and spirit, full of Chula pride, in the “Tumpang Games.” He also wished them safe travels and tremendous success. 

Chulalongkorn University is sending athletes to participate in the 41st Thailand University Staff Games, “Tumpang Games 2025,” hosted by Walailak University from May 3–10, 2025. A total of 64 public higher education institutions are participating. Chula is entering athletes in 15 sports: athletics, golf, sepak takraw, tennis, table tennis, badminton, pétanque, futsal, football, ballroom dancing, volleyball, swimming, snooker, e-sports, and aerobics. The Chula delegation includes athletes, team managers, coaches, assistant coaches, and staff—338 participants in total.
