His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn graciously appointed Privy Councillor Ampon Kittiampon, as representative to present the awards to the winning team of the Bangkok Business Challenge 2025, an English-language business plan competition. The award ceremony took place on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Sasin Hall, 9th Floor, Sasa Pathasala Building, Sasin School of Management, Chulalongkorn University. The event was attended by Professor Ian Fenwick, Director of Sasin School of Management; Assistant Professor Dr. Ravee Chudasring, Assistant to the President of Chulalongkorn University; and the organizing committee.
On this occasion, Mr. Kongpan Pramoj Na Ayudhaya, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, presented the event booklet and delivered the opening report, followed by the presentation of souvenirs to sponsors. Mr. Suracha Udomsak, Chairman of the Judging Panel, delivered a summary of the competition results, after which the Privy Councillor presented awards to the winning and runner-up teams.
Now in its 23rd year, the Bangkok Business Challenge 2025, organized by the Sasin School of Management in collaboration with SCG Chemicals Public Company Ltd. provides a platform for university students to showcase their potential and compete in an international business plan arena. It is recognized as Asia’s longest-running global startup business plan competition conducted in English. The event plays a vital role in fostering the growth of Thailand’s startup ecosystem on the global stage. Competing teams presented their business plans under the theme “Growing Impactful Ventures,” aimed at promoting sustainable business growth driven by innovation that addresses economic, social, and environmental challenges.
Additionally, Team MabLab from Harvard University also won the HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s Sustainability Award, a royal honorary award presented by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, accompanied by a cash prize of USD 5,000.
This year’s competition featured 308 teams from 82 higher education institutions worldwide and was held at the Sasin School of Management from May 22 to 24, 2025.
