“Probiotic” Research from Chulalongkorn University Receives Honorable Mention at Thailand Research Expo 2025 Award 

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cheunjit Prakitchaiwattana, Department of Food Technology, Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University, received an Honorable Mention at the Thailand Research Expo 2025 Award for the “Microencapsulated Bacillus 63-11 with Probiotic Potential to Enhance Shelf Life and Biological Activity for Use as a Dietary Supplement Product.” The award presentation was held during the closing ceremony of the Thailand Research Expo 2025 at Centara Grand and Bangkok Convention Center at CentralWorld on June 20, 2025, with Prof. Dr. Supachai Pathumnakul, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, presiding over the ceremony. The work was displayed in the Chulalongkorn University exhibition booth as one of the works from the Food for Function, Food for Future platform, presented under the topic “Research and Innovation for Industrial Applications and New Economic Development.”

“Probiotic” Research from Chulalongkorn University Receives Honorable Mention at Thailand Research Expo 2025 Award 

“Microencapsulated Bacillus 63-11 with Probiotic Potential that Can Produce Orange Pigment to Enhance Shelf Life and Biological Activity for Use as a Dietary Supplement Product” is a food innovation that develops health-promoting product manufacturing processes using probiotics from Thai microbial strains. The research team utilizes Bacillus Infantis 63-11 bacteria with health-promoting properties, ready for diverse future applications in food products and dietary supplements. 

The sense of kinship and warmth found in the Chula community is priceless and a treasure worth keeping.
