Mexico-Thailand Printing Exchange 2019

The Embassy of Mexico in Thailand and the Office of Art and Culture, Chulalongkorn University proudly present one of the largest Thailand-Mexican print art exhibitions of the year, the “Mexico-Thailand Printmaking Exchange 2019”.  The exhibition will be held on 4^th – 29^th November, 2019, at the 1st floor exhibition area, Chulalongkorn University Museum, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 4:30 pm. The first Thai-Mexican Printmaking Exchange Program was organized to create an opportunity for printmakers from Mexico and Thailand to find a shared ground.  Mexico has a long-lasting tradition of printmaking under many traditional and contemporary techniques, which has partially branched out into multiple currents and new expressions in recent years.  Although still considered a recent artistic expression, printmaking in Thailand is finding its way in the mainstream visual arts ecosystem. With the collaboration from the two nations, a diversity of fresh proposals coming from new expressions of senior artists or from young exponents is rapidly filling the exhibition spaces.
