An Invitation to Conversations with S.E.A. Write Award Winners

The Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University, in collaboration with P.E.N. International Thailand-Centre Under the Royal Patronage of H.M. the King, would like to invite all to join for a special talk on “Conversations with S.E.A. Write Award Winners on Tuesday, November 26, 2019.  The session will be from 13.30 – 16.00 hrs. at the Auditorium, 9th Floor, Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Building, Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University.

During the event, participants will get to meet S.E.A. Write Award winning authors from over the past three years and listen to a talk on “Digital Challenges: Writing and Reading in S.E.A. Contexts, by  S.E.A. Writer Award writers from many countries.  Included in the guest list is Jidanan Lueangpiansamut, a Thai writer who became the youngest S.E.A. Write Award winner in 2017.  

Other highlights of the event include a talk on “Imagining the Past: Historical Novels from Female Writers’ Perspectives”, presented by Claire Keefe-Fox, a popular French author of  ‘Siamese Tears’, and Veeraporn Nitiprapha, a two-time S.E.A Write Award winner, as well as Phiulavanh Luangvanna, a S.E.A Write recipient from Lao PDR.

All sessions will be conducted in English and Thai, and the moderators will provide discussion summaries in the Thai language.
