The Chulalongkorn University Health Service Center organized a collaborative project on First Aid and Basic Life Support training under the program “Chula Brings Back the Heart” (Batch 1) on August 19, 2025, at Sala Phra Kieo, Chulalongkorn University. The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University. Associate Professor Dr. Pradermchai Kongkam, Assistant to the President and Acting Director of the CU Health Service Center, gave the welcome and opening remarks. Police Lieutenant General Dr. Sopon Krisanarungson, Chairperson of the Basic Life Support Training Program of the Heart Association of Thailand, delivered a speech on the objectives and significance of basic life support.
The training program on First Aid and Basic Life Support (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation: CPR) under the “Chula Brings Back the Heart” project consists of three sessions, held from August 19–20, 2025. It is organized in honor of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s 70th Birthday Anniversary and aims to equip university personnel with knowledge, understanding, and skills to correctly perform basic life-saving procedures—thereby increasing the chances of survival for people facing emergencies in society.
This training initiative is organized by the Chulalongkorn University Health Service Center, with support from the Heart Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage and the Charoen Pokphand Foundation. A total of 700 CU staff members and students participated in the program, enhancing their competency in administering correct and effective basic life support.
