Chula Holds a Merit-Making Ceremony in Dedication to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother 

On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 8:50 a.m., at the Sala of the Pali Studies School, Maha Phruettharam Temple, Chulalongkorn University held a merit-making ceremony (Thaksinanupathan) dedicated to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother.

The ceremony was presided over by Prof. Dr. Surakiart Sathirathai, Chairman of the Chulalongkorn University Council, along with Prof. Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, representatives of the University Council, administrators, faculty members, staff, alumni, and students, who together presented offerings to the monks. 

The Chairman of the University Council also presented ten sets of monastic robes to ten monks, who then performed the chanting ritual in front of the royal portrait of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother. The Chairman of the University Council and the President of the University then performed the water-pouring ritual, after which the monks gave their blessings. Finally, the Chairman of the University Council paid homage before the royal portrait of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother.
