Chulalongkorn University, through the collaboration of five of its research institutes—the Sustainable Environment Research Institute (SERI), the Energy Research Institute (ERI), the Chula Social Research Institute (CUSRI), the Chula Transport Institute (CUTi), and the Aquatic Resources Research Institute (ARRI)—co-hosted an academic forum titled “Climate Action Now: Thailand’s Pathway to a Resilient and Sustainable Future” on December 16, 2025, at the Chumbhot-Pantip Conference Room, 4th Floor, Prajadhipok-Rambhaibarni Building.
The forum was officially opened by Prof. Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, and brought together more than 100 participants, including academics, researchers, policymakers, and partner organizations.
Discussions addressed key challenges and opportunities in responding to climate change, spanning policy development, a just transition toward a low-carbon society, urban and community resilience, and the critical role of interdisciplinary knowledge in advancing Thailand’s climate action agenda.
The event underscored Chulalongkorn University’s commitment to advancing the Climate Action Lab @Chula as a central academic platform—one that bridges diverse fields of expertise and fosters collaboration to help steer Thailand toward a more resilient and sustainable future.
