Seminar on “Mentor: Best Practice” to Support Quality Research

On February 18, 2020, the Chulalongkorn University Second Century Fund (C2F) office held a seminar on “Mentor: Best Practice”, a seminar for advisors and advisees in the C2F PhD scholarship program to share ideas on ways to increase research quality and productivityThe seminar took place at 15th Floor, Mahawachiroinnahit Building, Faculty of Sciences, Chulalongkorn University, and included Prof. Dr. Kiat Rugrungtham, Vice President for Research and Innovation, and several representatives from the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Medicine.

During the seminar, advisors for C2F scholarship recipients got to exchange roles and share experience, especially regarding the best practices to inspire, support and follow up on research in order to produce high-quality, internationally recognized papers. This helps encourage any skilled researchers, both domestic and overseas, to conduct collaborative research with Chulalongkorn University in the future.

Moreover, the progress on C2F scholarships for high-potential post-doctoral researchers was presented to the attendees,  including updates on advisee quotas, the funding of students and researchers to conduct research abroad, recognition for researchers submitting work ahead of the deadline, and preparations for researcher training during March 2020.

Chula’s encouragement and support for research is excellent for teachers, students, and the public.
