Chula Students Win the Grand Prize and Earn 30 Awards for Cutting-Edge Innovations at “Inventors’ Day 2026” 

Chulalongkorn University extends its warmest congratulations to the students of Chulalongkorn University Demonstration School for bringing honor to Thailand and pride to both the school and the university.  They won the Grand Prize, Gold and Silver Medals, and Special Awards from eight countries—more than 30 awards in total—at the invention competition held during “Inventors’ Day 2026” (Thailand Inventors’ Day 2026). The event was organized by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, and took place from January 5–9, 2026, at BITEC Bangna, Bangkok.

The Innovation Center of Chulalongkorn University Demonstration School submitted 11 student innovation projects to the competition—7 from the primary level and 4 from the secondary level—which received the following awards: 

Students from Chulalongkorn University Demonstration School received the Grand Prize (Arts and Creativity Category), First Runner-Up (Assistive Devices Category), 3 Gold Medals, 4 Silver Medals, and Special Awards for the following innovative projects:

  1. “Pinto Scent”, personalized Aromatherapy Inhaler Inspired by My Mother’s Tiffin Carrier,” by Miss Avika Klaisang, received the Grand Prize Trophy in the Arts and Creativity Category, along with a 20,000 THB cash award, a Gold Medal, and six Special Awards from Romania, Macao SAR of the People’s Republic of China, the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, and the Philippines.

  1. “Tennitube”, created by Nattanaphat Palasuwan and Thanapon Palasuwan, received the First Runner-Up Trophy in the Assistive Devices Category, along with a 15,000 THB cash award, a Gold Medal, and two Special Awards from Malaysia and the Philippines.

  1. “Pandifuse”, created by Miss Piriya Wongpiwat, Master Suphanat Kunhiran, Kate Kunhiran, and Tharaparn Wasanapienpong, received a Gold Medal along with four Special Awards from Romania, Macao SAR (PRC), the People’s Republic of China, and Malaysia.

  1. “Fluopop”, created by Miss Phanuchaya Rukphithakphanit, Miss Alin Krityakiran, Miss Thamon Tumaratsawin, and Miss Salil Su-amphan, received a Silver Medal along with three Special Awards from Canada, Malaysia, and the Philippines.

  1. “Grow”, created by Miss Phurichaya Watcharaphonarin and Miss Pitchapat Tangngiamwisai, received a Silver Medal along with three Special Awards from Romania, Malaysia, and the Philippines.

  1. “Portable Egg Box”, created by Miss Mira Chatakun, Miss Melda Sasipongphaeroj, and Miss Natthanun Chuawattanukoon, received a Silver Medal and four Special Awards from Canada, the People’s Republic of China, Malaysia, and the Philippines.

  1. “Scented Divider, Compressed to Remember”, created by Master Natthawat Suwannaratkun, Miss Phinyaphatch Rasmisaengphet, and Miss Darin Sitthikhun, received a Silver Medal along with three Special Awards from Canada, Hong Kong SAR of the People’s Republic of China, and Malaysia. 

All seven primary-level projects were supervised by Mr. Jeerasak Jitrojornrak (Advisor). 

Students from Chulalongkorn University Demonstration School received the Second Runner-Up (Tourism and Creative Economy Category), 3 Gold Medals, 1 Silver Medal, and Special Awards, as follows:

  1. “Khaenova: Transforming the Isan Khaen—Preserving Thai Culture for the Global Music Scene”, created by Master Phattharaphon Wanichwatthana, Master Thawin Uttamote, Miss Nicha Lueangwaranan, and Master Naphat Lueangwaranan, received the Second Runner-Up Trophy in the Tourism and Creative Economy Category with a 30,000 THB cash award, a Gold Medal, and a Special Award from Romania, under the guidance of advisors Ms. Phriwfon Tiansri and Mr. Jeerasak Jitrojornrak.

  1. “Herbal Extraction Device Using Nanotechnology”, created by Miss Nattarin Uijaroen, Miss Pitchaphanita Methasuriyapong, Miss Thanyathita Phaedphai, Miss Chomchan Sitthikit, and Miss Ploychompoo Thepthong, received a Gold Medal along with two Special Awards from Hong Kong SAR (PRC) and the Philippines, under the guidance of advisors Asst. Prof. Amornrat Bubphachoti, Ms. Phriwfon Tiansri, and Mr. Jeerasak Jitrojornrak.

  1. “See You Thailand: Experience Authentic Thailand with an Intelligent Tour Guide”, created by Master Phanthat Tujinda, Master Phumipat Ongkosit, and Master Tin Tujinda, received a Gold Medal along with a Special Award from Romania, under the guidance of advisors Ms. Phriwfon Tiansri and Mr. Jeerasak Jitrojornrak.

  1. “Smart Handy Mat,” a Wi-Fi–connected crawling mat with diverse sound outputs, created by Miss Supichaya Pornvilassiri, Miss Ornnicha Piboonratnakit, and Miss Phatsaya Rukphithakphanit, received a Silver Medal along with two Special Awards from Romania and the Philippines, under the guidance of advisors Asst. Prof. Amornrat Bubphachoti, Ms. Phriwfon Tiansri, and Mr. Jeerasak Jitrojornrak.
