A team from the Sasin School of Management of Chulalongkorn University won first place in the Graduate League at the Schlesinger Global Family Enterprise Case Competition (SG-FECC) 2026, held in Vermont, USA. This achievement reaffirms Sasin’s excellence in teaching and learning in the field of family business management at the international level.
Organized by the Grossman School of Business, University of Vermont, the SG-FECC is regarded as one of the world’s most prestigious family enterprise case competitions. It provides MBA students with a platform to present ideas and business plans for family enterprises—an especially important sector, particularly in Asia. This year marked the 13th edition of the competition, featuring 21 teams, with a total of 132 participants and coaches from 11 countries across 4 continents.
Representing Thailand, the Sasin team comprised Pascal Gallina, Patriya Piyawiroj, Ornrumpa Amornkasemwong, and Palin Sunthonchai (Sasin MBA Class of 2025), under the guidance and mentorship of Thanachot Wongsuebchat (Sasin MBA Class of 2015). Throughout the competition, the team demonstrated outstanding teamwork, in-depth analysis, and strong leadership.
Across all four rounds of the competition, the Sasin team ranked first in every round, advancing to the final round and ultimately securing the championship. Their success was driven by sharp insights, a deep understanding of business, and exceptional presentation skills. In addition, Palin Sunthonchai received the Best Presenter Award in the final round.
