“Financial Planning for Life” Course Launched by Chula and the Bank of Thailand 

The Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, Chulalongkorn University, in collaboration with the Bank of Thailand, held the launch event for the course “Financial Planning for Life” for the general public under the Lifelong Learning concept on Friday, January 30, 2026, at CBS Cinema, Chaiyossombat Building 1, Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, Chulalongkorn University. The opening remarks were delivered by Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, while Associate Professor Dr. Tartat Mokkhamakkul, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, gave the welcoming address.

“Financial Planning for Life” Course Launched by Chula and the Bank of Thailand 

This was followed by a special lecture titled “From Vulnerability to Sustainability: Financial Literacy (FinLit) for Strengthening the Financial Resilience of Thai People” by Ms. Chayawadee Chai-anant, Assistant Governor for Corporate Relations and Spokesperson of the Bank of Thailand. The course was then introduced by Assistant Professor Dr. Pornpitchaya Kuwalairat, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy.  The course is conducted in Thai to ensure broad accessibility for the general public.

The launch of this course is regarded as a New Year’s gift from the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, Chulalongkorn University, to society. Its aim is to promote financial literacy, raise awareness of the importance of prudent financial planning, and support the sustainable improvement of the quality of life of Thai people. The course is designed to enable participants to apply financial knowledge practically in their daily lives, serving as an important foundation for strengthening the long-term financial stability of households and Thai society as a whole.
