NEXUS AI Batch 2 Launched to Power Thailand’s Next Generation of AI Leaders

NEXUS AI Batch 2 Launched to Power Thailand’s Next Generation of AI Leaders

Amid a global economic landscape increasingly driven—and rapidly disrupted—by artificial intelligence (AI), Chulalongkorn University and Degree Plus are building on the success of the inaugural cohort by officially launching the second batch of the NEXUS AI” executive program (Network for Executive Xceleration & Unbounded Scale). Guided by the vision of becoming an AI University, the program aims to strengthen strategic AI knowledge among senior executives from both the public and private sectors, enabling them to apply AI in organizational management, policymaking, and driving Thailand toward a sustainable and competitive future.

NEXUS AI Batch 2 Launched to Power Thailand’s Next Generation of AI Leaders

Following the strong success of its first cohort, NEXUS AI received an overwhelmingly positive response from more than 50 top executives across government and business sectors, sparking tangible AI adoption at the organizational level. This reflects Thai leaders’ growing awareness and readiness for the AI economy. The launch of Batch 2 marks another significant step forward—expanding impact from individual organizations to national-level collaboration.

Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, stated that the launch of NEXUS AI Batch 2 is not merely the introduction of another program but a major step in elevating the capabilities of Thai leaders amid a profound global technological transformation.

“Today, AI is no longer a ‘competitive advantage’—it is a ‘necessity.’ Countries that can strategically develop and apply AI will be able to create added value and significantly enhance their competitiveness. The difference no longer lies in who has AI, but in who has the wisdom to create and shape AI in their own way.”

He added that under its goal of becoming an AI University, Chulalongkorn is committed to generating positive economic and social impact grounded in good governance and to developing leaders who can use AI as a core mechanism to concretely elevate organizations and drive national progress.
