Chula Partners with HKU to Strengthen Interdisciplinary Innovation and Research 

Prof. Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, together with the university’s executive team, witnessed the signing ceremony of an academic collaboration agreement between the Integrated Innovation Institute of Chulalongkorn University and the Faculty of Engineering, The University of Hong Kong. 

The agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Suchada Sukrong, Director of the Integrated Innovation Institute, Chulalongkorn University, and Prof. David Srolovitz, Dean of Engineering at HKU, on February 23, 2026, at the Technology Innovation and Incubation Building, The University of Hong Kong.

This Memorandum of Understanding aims to strengthen innovation and research capabilities through student and faculty exchanges, joint research projects, and the development of academic cooperation in fields related to engineering, innovation, and interdisciplinary integration. It also establishes a framework for implementing collaborative research projects and activities that promote knowledge exchange and participation in international academic forums. 

Chulalongkorn University executives attending the signing ceremony included Prof. Dr. Pornanong Aramwit, Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Palanee Ammaranond, Vice President; Prof. Dr. Rungsun Rerknimitr, Assistant to the President; and Dr. Thiraput Pitichat, Assistant to the President, as well as executives from the Integrated Innovation Institute of Chulalongkorn University.
